Simple Stocks can automatically reinvest the dividends you receive into more shares of the same stock.
Dividend reinvestment requires an active Simple Stocks+ subscription.
The setting is applied to each stock separately, so you can reinvest the dividends of one holding and not another.
Reinvestment only applies to dividends that are recorded in the app. To have dividends added for you, see How to enable/disable automatic splits and dividends.
2. Tap the ellipsis (...) button next to Add Transaction.
3. Tap Reinvest Dividends to switch it on or off. The button shows whether it is currently ON or OFF.
If you own the same stock in more than one portfolio and you are viewing All Portfolios, Reinvest Dividends opens a list of your portfolios. Use the toggle next to each portfolio to choose where dividends are reinvested.
3. If the window is narrow, the button moves into the ellipsis (...) menu.
As on iPhone, viewing All Portfolios shows a toggle for each portfolio.
The automatic price will not always match what your broker actually paid, so you can change it.
1. Open the stock and tap the dividend in the list of transactions.
2. In the Dividend Reinvestment section, edit the Price and the Fee.
3. Tap Save.
To go back to the automatic price, tap the refresh arrow next to Price.
